The Challenge:
Whilst 83% of travellers want to travel sustainably, only 45% of these environmentally conscious travellers manage to book eco-friendly trips due to fragmented information, extra costs and lack of transparent information. Exploreo bridges this “sustainability gap” by making eco-choices the default: each option shows a clear CO₂ score, sustainability filter and an automatic offset at checkout-no extra steps, no extra fees.

• Inventory: 2.7million+ accommodations, 50 000+ tours worldwide, and (soon) 100+ sleeper train routes, delivering the largest end-to-end eco-travel marketplace.
• Embedded CO2 Analysis: Every booking includes a free, scientifically-formulated CO₂ footprint calculation and a simple sustainability score, empowering travellers to make informed decisions.
• No-Cost Carbon Offsetting: Through partnerships with Ecologi and Stripe, every trip is at least carbon-neutral, and often carbon-negative. We go beyond net-zero, focusing on ecosystem restoration and measurable climate impact.
• Virtual Forest dashboard: live visualization of sponsored trees and CO₂ reductions—making impact tangible and shareable.
2) Embedded Sustainability and Innovation:
• Mandatory Carbon Offsetting: Exploreo is the first travel platform to combine a vast inventory with mandatory, no-cost carbon offsetting and real-time impact tracking.
• Privacy by Design: Data is hosted on secure, green servers, respecting both user privacy and environmental responsibility.
