Martine Kohll

Martine Kohll has been an active member of the non-profit association Éiner Wënzerdag since 2000, a cultural association dedicated to celebrating and preserving local wine culture and community life. From 2001 to 2014, she served as its secretary and, since 2014, as its president. Her role is to represent the association externally, coordinate the organization of our wine festival, and unite and lead the committee.

Éiner Wënzerdag, one of the most beautiful and popular wine festivals in the Moselle region, is particularly close to her heart. It is a festival steeped in tradition, celebrated on the third Sunday of July for the past 40 years. It is important to preserve this tradition while respecting its history, while always remaining open to innovation and new ideas, so that the Wine Day remains attractive and vibrant in the future. Born in 1978, she grew up in Ehnen and still lives there. She took her first steps in community life at the Ehnen Youth Club, where she served as secretary. It was there that she learned the importance of cohesion, commitment, and organizational skills for the smooth running of a club. She was also a member of the Ehnen brass band and briefly served in the choir. Since 2012, she has been involved with the non-profit organization “LuciliVines – Femmes et vins, Luxembourg,” of which she is a founding member and currently manages the secretariat.

Her family and professional roots are linked to viticulture. She grew up on a winery, which she now runs with her husband. In parallel, she has worked as a secretary at the Institut Viti-Vinicole since 1999, where she is responsible for the budget, accounting, and personnel files. She considers her volunteer work on the committee of the Éiner Wënzerdag non-profit organization to be an important contribution to village life, the preservation of local culture, and social cohesion. She is convinced that volunteering is not only challenging but also very rewarding. When the Éiner Wënzerdag is a complete success, she feels satisfaction and pride.

For her, it is a great honor to take on this role within the association and, with a committed committee, to maintain the Éiner Wënzerdag non-profit organization’s high esteem in the years to come and to organize many more wine festivals.
