The Luxembourg Edit by LuxemMom: A Personal Lens on Life and Travel in Luxembourg

The Luxembourg Edit by LuxemMom is a lifestyle and travel blog I started to share what it’s really like to live, explore, and raise a family in Luxembourg. As someone who has lived in several countries—including the US, France, and now Luxembourg since 2012—I wanted to create a space that reflects both an outsider’s curiosity and a local’s insight.

What began as a personal project has grown into a curated platform that helps others—especially international families and Korean-speaking readers—understand and enjoy the many layers of life in Luxembourg.

How My Blog Supports Luxembourg’s Tourism Landscape

  1. Sharing the Everyday Beauty of Luxembourg

Luxembourg may be small, but it’s full of beautiful contrasts—historic and modern, urban and rural, familiar and surprising. Through The Luxembourg Edit, I try to capture this balance. I introduce my readers to places they might not find in guidebooks: a tucked-away art gallery in Bonnevoie, a vineyard walk in the Moselle, or a charming weekend market in a quiet village.

The goal isn’t just to list places to go—but to show how to experience them in a meaningful way, whether you’re a tourist, a new arrival, or a long-time resident rediscovering your surroundings.

  1. Helping Korean and International Visitors Feel at Home

Writing in both Korean and English, I focus on helping Korean travelers and expat families feel more connected to life here. That might mean explaining how local schools work, where to buy Korean groceries, or what to expect at a Luxembourgish spa. I often receive messages from readers who say my posts helped them plan their trips or settle in more smoothly.

In this way, The Luxembourg Edit serves as a bridge—connecting cultures, answering practical questions, and opening up Luxembourg to new audiences who might otherwise overlook it.

  1. Spotlighting Local Culture and Businesses

Whenever I can, I write about local creators, family-run restaurants, seasonal events, and cultural spaces. These are the people and places that give Luxembourg its personality. From visiting the LUGA garden installations to highlighting a boutique in Grund or a ballet performance at the Grand Théâtre, I try to encourage thoughtful, locally grounded travel.

By featuring these hidden gems, I hope to guide visitors toward experiences that feel authentic and memorable—and support the communities that make them possible.

  1. A Real, Relatable Voice

One thing that sets my blog apart is that I live the experiences I write about. I visit the places, try the food, attend the events—with my family, in daily life. The recommendations are always honest and personal. Readers often tell me they come back because they trust my perspective—it’s curated, but not commercial. Friendly, but still refined.

I write not just for the first-time tourist, but also for those curious about what it means to live well in Luxembourg, even just for a few days.

Looking Ahead

Over the past year, The Luxembourg Edit has grown steadily, thanks to word-of-mouth and a few viral posts. As I continue to develop the platform, I hope to collaborate more with local institutions and tourism stakeholders, offering useful, beautifully written content that helps travelers and locals alike see Luxembourg with fresh eyes.

It’s an honor to share my perspective on this unique country, and to contribute—however modestly—to the vibrant tourism and cultural life of Luxembourg.
