Description

As a part of the bigger project ‘Eco Lodges’ in Useldange, the old municipal building was transformed into a hotel brasserie. The building has quite a bit of history, after being used as a municipal building it became the office for the foresters before becoming a hotel brasserie. The building now holds 3 guestrooms, a meeting room, as well as the reception, the restaurant ‘Péitche Lauer’ and its kitchen, and terrace. The restaurant can accommodate up to 40 people.

The goal of this project was to give people an opportunity to stay in Useldange for longer, rather than them just passing through. It was meant to create a space where they can take a longer rest at the foot of the castle. We were hoping that more people would be interested in visiting the castle if they had the opportunity to stay in a comfortable space nearby. The building was renovated and the project was executed in collaboration with the company Romain Hoffmann Architectes et Urbanistes sarl. The latter also participated in the overall project of ‘Eco Lodges’.

The restaurant ‘Péitche Lauer’ has become well known restaurant in the area, attracting a lot of people who want to convince themselves of the good and local food. A lot of people used their 50€ vouchers here and we did notice an increase in people renting bikes and visiting the castle. We also noticed more families visiting the castle, which we also attribute to this project as the rooms in this building can accommodate more people than the rooms in the pavilion, which are mostly laid out for two people.
