Each entrant may submit more than one entry. Projects that were awarded a Prix d’Excellence (Excellence Award) or a Coup de Coeur (Public’s Favourite) award at the 2021 or 2023 Luxembourg Tourism Awards are excluded from the competition.
For each project, the entrant is given an ID number specific to their entry. This ID number must be stated in all correspondence.
The Ministry of the Economy’s General Directorate for Tourism (hereinafter referred to as the “Organiser”) is organising the competition named the Luxembourg Tourism Awards 2025 (hereinafter referred to as “LTA 2025”).
Any commercial company, foundation, public institution, non-profit organisation, municipal administration or individual whose main activity and registered office are located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg may enter the competition.
The competition runs for a limited period. Details of the process and the opening and closing dates are available on the www.tourismawards.lu website.
The Organiser will appoint a panel of six judges. During the first meeting, a chairperson is elected from among them to ensure that the deliberations run smoothly. In the event of a tied vote, the chairperson has the casting vote. The jury’s decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
The evaluation criteria are defined in the grid set out in the document “LTA 2025 Assessment Criteria”, available on the www.tourismawards.lu website (hereinafter referred to as the “Criteria”). Any entry that meets the conditions set out in the “The competition” and “The entrants” sections of these regulations will be given nominee status. On the basis of the evaluation criteria, the jury selects up to three finalists per prize category from the nominees. Prizes are then awarded from among these finalists. The Organiser will inform participants of their finalist status. The jury’s assessments and decisions are not communicated to the participants.
The Organiser reserves the right to visit the entrant, subject to notice, in order to assess the project submitted on site. Further details can be found in the document “Annex to the regulations LTA 2025” available on the www.tourismawards.lu website.
If the jury considers that none of the projects submitted meet the criteria for a given prize, it may decide not to award that prize. Similarly, if fewer than five projects meet the criteria for a prize, the jury is free not to award it.
The winners of the Prix d’Excellence (Excellence Award) receive a trophy and a plaque to be displayed at the entrance to their establishment or in a suitable location.
The nominees, finalists and winners, as well as their projects, are presented on the LTA 2025 website www.tourismawards.lu.
They receive an LTA 2025 label for their institutional communications, highlighting their LTA 2025 status. This label can be used on media such as email signatures, company magazines, websites, social networks and promotional materials, in compliance with the LTA 2025 style guide communicated to beneficiaries.
Finalists and winners can use the LTA 2025 logo for advertising purposes for two years from the date of publication of the results.
The special “Commended Municipality” prize is awarded to the best project submitted by a local authority, selected according to the criteria from all the entries.
The special “Deserving Volunteer” prize is awarded to volunteers working for Luxembourg tourism. One or more prizes may be awarded, with entries being submitted via an online form on the www.tourismawards.lu website.
The special “People’s Favourite” prize is awarded to the project receiving the highest number of votes on the www.tourismawards.lu website. In the event of a tie, the jury will choose the winner by applying the criteria.
Entries must meet the conditions set out in the “The competition” and “The entrants” sections of these regulations, and the required documents must be uploaded to the www.tourismawards.lu website before the closing date for entries.
The Organiser may extend the entry period. Any extension of said period will be announced on the www.tourismawards.lu website.
The application form is available online on the www.tourismawards.lu website. It can be completed in English, French or German.
All correspondence sent to the Organiser must include the ID number shown on the confirmation email that the entrant receives after completing the online application on the www.tourismawards.lu website.
