LUGA

LUGA – Luxembourg Urban Garden is an open-air exhibition taking place from 7 May to 18 October 2025 in Luxembourg City and Ettelbruck (Nordstad). Designed as an open-air laboratory, LUGA offers an immersive experience through urban gardens, landscape and artistic installations, innovative agricultural projects, and shared living spaces.

Spread across five emblematic sites – the Alzette Valley, the Pétrusse Valley, the Édouard André municipal park, the Kirchberg plateau, and the town of Ettelbruck – LUGA invites visitors to rediscover the city from a new perspective, where tourism, culture, and urban ecology intersect. Each route provides a fresh interpretation of public space and invites reflection on our relationship with living systems in the urban environment.

Guided by the theme “Making the invisible visible”, the exhibition brings to light the often hidden yet essential functions of nature in the city: natural cycles, biodiversity, soil, food production networks, as well as social dynamics and shared uses of space.

LUGA positions itself as a platform for experimentation, collective reflection, and touristic discovery, enhanced by a rich, participatory, cultural and festive programme, with over 1,000 events offered throughout the six months of the exhibition.

A project held under the High Patronage of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess, with the financial support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture, the City of Luxembourg, as well as the City of Ettelbruck for LUGA Nordstad, and with the Luxembourg Horticultural Federation (FHL) as an observer member.
